By completeing this online membership form you are indicating you have read and agree to the terms set forth in the following two paragraphs.

I agree to be in the County Line Landowners Coalition ("the Coalition"), a free and voluntary group of landowners in Broome and Cortland Counties.  I understand that the Coalition Steering Committee will negotiate gas leases with the objective of maximizing lease-signing payments and royalties to Coalition Members, as well as securing lease terms to protect the land and landowners.  I agree to hold the Steering Committee harmless for and waive all causes of action that may arise out of the gas lease negotiations or any substantially related matter.

I acknowledge that the Coalition has engaged the law firm of Leven, Gouldin & Thompson, LLP ("LGT") to represent the coalition and that LGT will also be serving as New York Counsel to Peter Hosey and the law firm of Jackson Walker, San Antonio, Texas, LLP ("JW").  JW will provide its knowledge regarding modern oil and gas leasing and practices.  I understand that I am not bound by the lease negotiated by the Steering committee nor shall I be bound to pay any legal fees or expenses of LGT and JW unless I retain the law firms under separate retainer agreement.  If I do decide to sign the gas lease that is the result of the negotiations of the Steering Committee and the attorneys who represent the Coalition, I understand that I will be required to sign a retainer agreement to pay the legal fees of the attorneys from the firms.  The attorney's fees will be $20 per acre with a minimum fee for landowners with ten (10) acres or less of $200 per lease.
